having relationships is like traveling alone in a strange country. you don't know the language very well, or the local customs. you're not quite sure what people are trying to communicate to you, much less whether they have good intentions or bad ones. sometimes you will trust the wrong people. but if you never trust anyone you'll miss the best days of your life, and you might as well have stayed home.
